Overview:

Character Browser is a set of pages to view information about your characters. Use can vary from installation to installation depending on the values set by the site administrator. Current views include the AA View, Flag View, Search View, skills view, the corpse view, and the character view including stats, inventory(including the 8 bag slots), and the bank.

AA View:

The AA page consists of a single pane that displays the characters AA's Click on the type links at the top of the pane to view different categories. The "Done button will return you to the Character View.

Flag View:

The flag page consists of 2 panes. The top pane displays all POP zones that require flags. Zones the character has access to are in regular type, zones that require more flagging are in BOLD. Clicking a zone name will display all of the flags required in "seer" format. Again require flags are in bold and use the verbage "NOT". Flags already recieved are in regular type. The "Done button will return you to the Character View.

Search View:

The search page consists of two windows. The Search Window, and the Results Window.

The Search Window has a Name, Guild, Level, Class Fields. This can all be used individually or in any combination. Understanding of SQL wildcards is necessary for anything other than the most basic of searches. The "%" sign works similar to the "*" in windows, and the "_" works like the "?". The "%" will replace any number of unknown characters. To find all players whose name starts with "A" you would search for "A%". To find all characters with "Tank" anywhere in their name you would search for "%Tank%". The "_" works similar but only for individual characters. If you were looking for a character who's name started with "harm" but you couldn't remember the fifth letter you could search for "harm_". The name field will ONLY search for first names and is NOT case sensitive.

The Results window will appear under the Search Window only after a successful search. It will display 10 results by default, but can be changed by the server admin. The results will be in alphabetic order and clicking their name will navigate you to that characters Character View. Below the list of names are "Next" and "Prev" links. These will bring up the next or previous 10 names.

Character View:

This view consists of up to 4 windows; Inventory, Bag, Bank, and Item Windows. The character view may or may not be disabled by the site admin for certain characters. There are options to disable role players, anonymous, and GM characters. If disabled an error message will be displayed instead along with a "done" button. Clicking this button will return you to the search page. There is also an option to "highlight" GM accounts. If this is activate the GM's Inventory Window will be bordered in gold.

Inventory Window:
The inventory window consists of a stats pane, a secondary stats pane, equipment slots, bag slots, coin slots, and buttons for navigation to other sections. The inventory very closely emulates the same function it performs in game.

The stats pane has the characters name, last name, title, and guild followed by the level, class, and diety. Below this are the calculated stats HP, AC, Mana, Endurance, and Attack. These stats may vary slightly from the stats in game as they aren't hard values saved in the database, but instead are calculated by providing an algorithm with values from the database. Below the calculate stats are the character stats; STR, STA, DEX, AGI, WIS, INT, CHA, resists, and weight. The weight has the current limitation of not adding in the weight of items inside of bags.

The secondary stats pane displays addition information about your character that would otherwise require the user to do manual calculations for, such as hp regen, mana regen, atk bonus, dmg shield, and haste.

The equipment pane works simply by clicking the item you wish to view. This will open up the item in a new window below the Inventory Window.

The bag slots work similar to the equipment slots in that clicking them will display the stats of the item/bag in a new window below. In addition to this function the contents of the bag will be displayed in a new window to the right of the Inventory Window.

The coin slots are above the bag slots, and simply display the amount of coin current on the character. This area may or may not be disabled by the server admin. If it is disabled "Disabled" will appear in the slot instead of a coin value.

There are 4 buttons in the bottom of the Inventory Window. The "Corpse" button will navigate to a new page with information about your current corpses. The "Skills" button will navigate to a new page with information about your skills. The "bank" button will open a new window to the right of the Inventory and Bag Windows displaying the contents of your bank.

Item Window:
The item window displays items similar to the method used in game. The name of the item is displayed in the header bar, and the stats of the items will be displayed in the pane below. The primary differences are with spells, augments, and derived stats. Spells will display as a link to a page with information about that spell. Augments do NOT show up as an item link in the items "augment slots." Instead any augments on the item will show up with their full name/stats in a smaller pane immediately below the parent items stats. This pane will be outlined in a gold dotted line(with default style sheet). The parent item also will NOT add the stats of the augment to itself. For example, a 100hp item with a 50hp augment in it will display 100hp, not 150hp. This is not an error/limitation. Derived stats are those that are not typically displayed on the item in game. These stats will be in italics on the item. For example after the name and casting time of a spell, in italics, the level the spell is useable is shown.

There currently is no way to close the item window once open.

Bag Window:
This window is opened when a bag in the inventory or bank is clicked, and functions similar to a bag in game. Clicking an item will display its stats in a new window below the Inventory Window. Clicking the "done" button will close the bag.

Bank Window:
The Bank Window also functions similar to the in game version. Clicking an item displays its stats in a window below the inventory. If the item is a bag the Bag Window will also open between the Inventory and Bank Window. If coins are disabled by the server administrator "Disabled" will be displayed in the coin slots instead of the coin values. Clicking the "done" button, or the "bank" button in the Inventory Window will close the Bank Window.

Corpse View:

The Corpse View can be disabled by the server admin totally, or for Role Player, Anon, and/or GM accounts. In the situation where the view is disabled an error message will be posted with a "done" button. If viewing the current character is entirely disabled because of the RP/Anon/GM setting clicking the "done" button will return you to the search page. If the character is viewable but all corpse viewing is disabled then the "done" button will return you to the Character View.

All corpses the character has will be listed in order of death. In the first column the time of death will be listed, followed by the zone name of death, and the (X, Y) coordinates that the corpse can be found. Clicking the zone name will navigate your browser to a map of the zone if one is available. If the corpse has been "buried" it will instead display "shadowrest" instead of the zone of death, and "(buried)" instead of the x,y coordinates. If a corpse has NOT been rezzed its record will show up in bold.

Skills View:

The Skills View can be disabled by the server admin totally, or for Role Player, Anon, and/or GM accounts. In the situation where the view is disabled an error message will be posted with a "done" button. If viewing the current character is entirely disabled because of the RP/Anon/GM setting clicking the "done" button will return you to the search page. If the character is viewable but all skills viewing is disabled then the "done" button will return you to the Character View.

By default language skills are not displayed, but can be easily activated by the server admin. The skills are broken up into sections such as Combat Skills and Trade Skills for easier location. Mousing over a skill will cause it to highlight in gold. This is purely for ease of use, and serves no function outside of making the table rows easier to visually lineup.
